The quilted effect

Still not something I can entirely get behind, but I think I don’t hate it in leather jackets or with some subtle detailing. Here are some good quilted items:

Black and white lace items was something I noticed a lot on the catwalks, but I think other lace items also fit under this trend umbrella. There’s something so romantic, yet sexy about lace. I’ll be avoiding white because I am the messiest, but I’ll definitely be making a black lace purchase. Maybe in a skirt? Or an accessory?

Seeing as I’m super into leather, pleather and suede lately, the fringed benefits necklace in red was right up my alley! Harlow is a somewhat new brand to the Australian plus sized scene. Made and designed in Australia, the clothing is full of trend-based items at a competitive price point. The Iconic has just started carrying them, which is a great coup for Harlow!

I was contacted by Kerry from the brand to ask if she could send me some items to review and I accepted. She sent me a lace button up shirt in wine. Lace is going to be a big trend for winter! She also sent a glittery gold pencil skirt and the awesome rev me up ponte skirt (up on the site soon!) – I’ve been after a leather or pleather skirt for a while now, so I’m loving this one.

All items start at a 14 and go to a 24. I’d be interested if they’d be able to expand the size range some more, as right now, as a standard 16, the items I was sent were a pretty accurate fit for me. They’re very well made and of a great quality (particularly the wet and wild scuba pencil skirt). I think they’re worth the prices Harlow are charging.
