I thought it might be a good idea to post some pictures of possible lingerie the winner of the Simone Perele competition (don’t forget to like the Facebook page!) could win! I want them all!

This is the set that I got sent! It’s ridiculously comfortable and I am completely amazed it fit me without me trying it on first. That pretty much never happens. I’m a total convert now.

Simone Perele make some utterly gorgeous, decadent lingerie, sized from to 10 to 20 B-G (some styles in a H) in bras and 10-20 (some sizes in a 22) in underwear. I know I always feel better when I’m wearing pretty duds underneath my clothing, even if my clothing is just yoga pants and a Bonds chesty.

I’ve been given a guide to finding the best fit and bra for you from Sarah, which I’ll share here:

1. Make sure your bra sits in a straight line around your body
2. Always fasten your new bra comfortably on the middle hook
3. All underwire should be sitting on the rib cage and not on the breast tissue
4. The centre separator should sit firmly against your breast bone
5. The bra straps should be firm, but not dig into your shoulders
6. There should not be any spillage over the cup or over the armhole of the bra
7. When in doubt, be professionally fitted by staff at David Jones stores, Australia-wide

As for nail polish, I’ve only somewhat recently started to get into it. I used to bite my nails almost down to the quick. It was painful and rather icky. I’m glad I stopped! Now, I’m very into neon brights, especially with clashing outfit colours. The catwalks had pretty shades of blue, which is my favourite colour. I’d like to attempt the Missoni manicure, but I think I need more practice and a steadier hand.

The best brands aren’t necessarily the most expensive. My best shades are from BYS and Ulta 3 and these come in at under $5 a bottle. If you want to spend a little more, Butter London is a great formula and has some fabulous shades, and Orly is also a staple when I can get it for cheap.

I am not someone who wears a great deal of eye shadow, so I’m not well versed on this orange and brown trend, but once again, my staples for lots of differently coloured eyeshadows have to go to MAC, with the close runner up of Make Up Forever — great consistency, even without primer. For cheaper brands, again, Australis is a winner for colour variety and staying power.

I want to see some examples of people rocking this trend! I don’t think I’ll be wearing it very much as I’m not too confident on my eye make up skills, but show me yours if you’ve got them.

Boxing Day was the usual chaotic mess, but we scored reasonably well. I got two pairs of shoes from Wittner for under $200 and a bangle from Autograph.
